Update

A lot has happened in our lives since Shasta. Dustin passed both the Series 7 and 66 with flying colors.  He was really nervous and studied so hard. I was nervous as well waiting for 6 hours to hear back from him for the first test and 3 hours for the second. Luckily he passed and still has a job! I am so proud of him. He's so smart and worked so hard.

We've been to a couple more weddings this summer and still have some to go! One of my best friends Rachel got married to Tyler, our friend from college.

The beautiful bride and groom!

Hooray for freshman friends

I got a job as a receptionist at a hedge fund. At first it was a temp job for 6-8 weeks but then they needed me for 6 months and now it's permanent! I am working as an administrative assistant for the portfolio manager. So far it has had it's ups and downs but it's a job and I can't complain.

One of Dustin's friends from work invited us to go boating on the Delta. It was Dustin's first time on the dirty delta.

I finally showed Dustin Mt. Diablo. Sorry al the pictures are of me. Dustin hogged the camera.

We made a quick trip to Utah for our friends Tyler and Kelsey's wedding, moving Dustin's sister Willow to Provo, and visit my Grandma in the hospital.

Living in San Francisco we were able to enjoy fleet week. It was so much fun! I want to be a passenger on one of those planes!

Life has been great. We are happy and about to go enjoy our 1 year anniversary this weekend! More to come.

Shasta and Courtney's Wedding

Over the Fourth of July weekend/week my family had their annual Lake Shasta trip. We had four houseboats, five speedboats and about 78 people. It was an awesome time. I'm proud to say I did not get sunburned or get the infamous Shasta heat rash. Shasta treated me well this year.

Then one of my best friends, Courtney got married on July 9. It was at the one room school in Danville. Absolutely beautiful. They are perfect for each other and I could not be happier for them.

Congratulations!! We love you.

Yosemite National Park

Dustin was supposed to start work this past Monday, but his trainer had to do jury duty so they bumped his start date back a week. So we got to spend one more week together work-free. Which means we needed to do something and so we went to Yosemite! We both haven't been since we were kids so we decided it would be a good place to go. So, we packed up our new tent from my parents, grabbed some food and started to drive.

These next pictures are just from the drive up as you enter into Yosemite and Yosemite Valley. This place is insanely beautiful.

El Capitan - people rock climb this thing

We got there Thursday evening with enough time to set up our tent and make some foil dinners.

Friday morning we headed to Bridalveil Falls. You can practically walk up to the waterfall. As soon as you start on the trail you can feel the water from the fall and the closer you get the more wet you become!

We then headed to go climb up to Yosemite Fall. This bad boy...

The scenery throughout the hike was incredible.

 We made it!

After the hike, we headed to the famous Ahwahnee Hotel. My dad said that we had to go see the massive fireplaces. They were pretty big!

We explored the outside of the hotel and took a little pit stop...

Saturday we packed up and headed home. On the way we found this awesome view of the valley...

And we stopped at the giant sequoias. Not that impressive...

Ok...I'm totally joking! They are HUGE.

Everyone should go to Yosemite! It is amazing how so many amazing things can be in one little area. It makes it so easy to see so many neat things. We didn't see very much of the park because a lot of it was still closed for the winter but we will definitely be making our way back sooner rather than later.
